Mandala Magic

“Each person’s life is like a mandala- a vast, limitless circle. We stand in the center of our own circle and everything we see, hear and think form the mandala of our life.”

- Pema Chödrön

Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning both circle and center. They are used cross culturally for a multitude of reasons — meditation, accessing higher consciousness, establishing a sacred space, and reflecting on the universe.

For many people, simply looking at a circular symphony of shapes and patterns evoke a feeling of calm and contentment. In many spiritual traditions, the mandala is considered a symbol of wholeness and connection. The micro and macro, the universe and the single soul coexisting in harmony. The mystical patterns of a mandala manifest in abundance in nature:in a flower, a snowflake, a spiderweb.

Some believe the mandala is imprinted into the deepest part of the human psyche.

Carl G. Jung, Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, introduced Eastern ideas of the mandala, a representation of the wholeness of the person creating them to the western world.

He would ask his patients to draw mandalas as a form of therapy. He believed that this practice allowed them to symbolically work through the outer chaos of their lives and get in touch with their center or soul.

For this practice, we’ll use them as an invitation to play with new shapes and mediums, get into the creative flow, listen to our intuition, and explore art making as a relaxing and meditative process.

Art Journaling

The Whole Self

“I know this for sure…Your heart wants to shift, grow, change and deepen. It wants to shed old weight and move into the new!

- The Soulful Creative

Art or Visual Journaling is an expressive Art form that consciously invites the power of creativity to heal, awaken, and shift energy.

By embracing our whole-self and beginning in complete honesty we get in touch with the deeper currents of what is unfolding in our lives so that we may become the true author of our own story.

It’s about Exploring, Reflecting, Questioning , Celebrating, Listening, Receiving and expressing your journey. All in all its about tuning into what’s emerging. What is the story that is being told or shown to me right now?

Art Journaling is also a great way to release stress producing emotions while nourishing our creative souls.

You don’t have to be an artist to reap the benefits of this therapeutic process!

SoulCollage®

Listening Ourselves into Being

SoulCollage® is a doorway to your inner wisdom. It invites you to give visual and poetic expression to the unique tapestry of your life experiences, and to discover and nourish the seeds of your destiny.

- Mariabruna Sirabella

When we practice deep listening we get closer to the truth. Soulcollage is a potent creative practice in which we give our many parts a voice to be heard.

Just as dreams are truth tellers of the unconscious, Imagery can hold inner wisdom that can guide you in your journey to wholeness.

SoulCollage® cards are a visual journal of people, places, events and feelings.

We make cards to honor people, to mark personal transitions, heal wounds and receive guidance. We also make cards that seem to have no known purpose other than to bring certain images together. However, when the time is right the intention behind each card is revealed.

This process was developed by Seena B. Frost, author of the book SoulCollage®Evolving
